Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination every year. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released CHSL notification on 23rd June,2025 for 14,582 posts across Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) in various departments and ministry. Online applications will start from 9th June,2025 onwards. SSC CHSL exam is conducted in 2 stages Tier-I and Tier-II. - Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs.19,900-63,200) In Hand Salary in Metro Cities (Rs.35,500)
- Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)-48552 and Level-5(Rs.29,200-92,300) In Hand Salary in Metro Cities (Rs.54,800)

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026):
Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1999 and not later than 01-01-2008 are eligible to apply.
Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories in accordance with extant Rules/ guidelines of Government of India are as under:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: (Unreserved) 10 years
- PwBD: (OBC) 13 years
- PwBD: (SC/ ST) 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on 01.01.2026

Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 01-01-2026):
- The minimum educational qualification required to apply for SSC CHSL 2025 is passing the 12th standard (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board or university. However, there are some additional requirements for specific posts:
- For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), candidates must have passed 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a core subject.
- Candidates awaiting their results or planning to complete their 12th standard exam by the last date of application submission are also eligible to apply, but they must produce proof of their qualification at the time of document verification.
SSC CHSL 2025 Tier 1 Exam Pattern:
SSC CHSL Tier-1 Exam will be conducted online, comprising 4 sections with 100 multiple-choice questions with a maximum of 200 marks. The entire exam needs to be completed in 60 minutes. The exam will be of a qualifying nature and marks will not be counted in the final selection.

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam 2025 will be conducted in 2 sessions and questions in session-1 consists of Objective type Multiple Choice questions.
Tier-II will include following four sections as under:
