Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released Probationary Officer/Management Trainee (PO/MT) posts notification on 1st July,2025 for 5,208 posts in the Public Sector Banks i.e. Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India. Online applications will start from 1st July,2025 onwards. IBPS PO Exam is conducted in 3 stages Preliminary, Mains and Interview. - Basic: ₹ 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 The official will be eligible for allowances & perquisites as per rules of the Participating Bank in force from time to time.

Age Limit (As on 01-07-2025):
Age limit for IBPS PO/MT: 20 to 30 Years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1995 and not later than 01.07.2005 (both dates inclusive)
Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories in accordance with extant Rules/ guidelines of Government of India are as under:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: (Unreserved) 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 5 years

Application Fee:
Application Fees/ Intimation Charges [Payable from 01.07.2025 to 21.07.2025 (Only online payment), both dates inclusive] shall be as follows:
For SC/ST/PwBD – Rs.175/- (inclusive of GST)
For all Others– Rs.850 /- (inclusive of GST)
Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate
Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 21-07-2025):
- A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
- All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before 21.07.2025.

IBPS PO/MT Exam Pattern:
The online examination will be two tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, Preliminary and Mains. Candidates who qualify in Preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Mains examination and shortlisted candidates in the Mains examination will be called for a Personality Test and subsequently for Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Banks and co-ordinated by the Nodal Bank.
Preliminary Examination:
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Mains Examination:
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 25 Marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

Personality Test/Interview:
Candidates who qualify in the Main examination will be called for a Personality Test (self-report). Personality Profile of the candidates will be placed before the Interview panel. The Personality Test
will be non-qualifying in nature. However, appearing in the Personality Test will be mandatory for being eligible for appearing for the Interview process
Marks Obtained in the Mains Examination only will be considered for Shortlisting of Personality Test and Interview and also Final Merit Listing.
