APPSC Group II Preliminary Examination:
APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam is the screening test only for shortlisting candidates for mains exam. The exam is objective in nature. There is a negative marking of one-third marks for each wrong answer. The marks scored in the APPSC Group II Prelims Exam will not be counted in final selection. The Prelims exam is considered a qualifying test. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifying marks are eligible to proceed to the Mains exam

APPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Pattern:
APPSC Group II Mains examination contains 2 papers consisting of objective in nature. The marks obtained in the two papers together are considered for making the final merit. The marks scored in the APPSC Group II Mains Exam will be counted in preparing the merit list for final selection. There is a negative marking of one-third marks for each wrong answer.
