State Bank of India (SBI) has conducted Junior Associates Exam every year to select eligible candidates for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) posts in State Bank of India. State Bank of India (SBI) has released Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) notification on 5th August,2025 for 6,589 posts. Online applications will start from 6th August,2025 onwards. SBI Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) Exam is conducted in three Phases Preliminary, Mains and Local Language Proficiency Test. Pay Scale:
- PAY SCALE: Rs.24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. The starting Basic Pay is Rs.26730/- (Rs.24050/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).
- EMOLUMENTS: The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs.46,000/- per month inclusive of D.A., other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates.
Age Limit (As on 01-04-2025):
Age limit for SBI Junior Associates : 20 to 28 Years i.e A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1997 and not later than 01.04.2005
(both days inclusive).
Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories in accordance with extant Rules
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: (Gen/EWS) 10 years
- PwBD (OBC) 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ ST) 15 years

Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 31-12-2025):
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2025. Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2025.

SBI Junior Associates Exam Pattern:
The online examination will be held in three phases, Phase-I (Preliminary), Phase-II (Mains) and Phase-III (Local Language Proficiency Test). Candidates who qualify in Preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Mains examination and after that Local Language Proficiency Test to be conducted.
Phase-I (Preliminary Examination):
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Phase-II (Mains Examination):
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) 190 questions for 200 marks.

Phase – III (Local Language Proficiency Test):
Provisionally selected candidates not having studied (in class 10th or 12th) any of the specified local language of the State applied, will have to appear in Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). The pattern of the test will be as follows:
It contains two tests for 50 marks
1. Non- Verbal Test : 6 Passages of 30 Marks
2. Verbal Test : 20 Marks
Candidates are required to score minimum qualifying marks as decided by the Bank in individual test (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon)
Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted local language):
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be considered for preparation of the final merit list. Provisional selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test (Main Examination)
