Ministry of Home Affairs officially released the Notification to recruit 3717 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (Grade-II) posts in Intelligence Bureau for the year 2025 on 14th July 2025. The post involves All India Service liability. The candidates willing to serve any where in India will only apply. Online applications will start from 19th July,2025 onwards. IB ACIO exam is conducted in 3 stages Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. In this article, we have discussed the exam pattern and Old question papers of IB ACIO Grade-II exam.

Pay Scale:
- Basic: Level 7 (Rs.44,900 – Rs.1,42,400) The official will be eligible for allowances & perquisites as per rules of the Central Government.
- Approximate In Hand salary after deductions Rs.85,000
- Special Security allowance @20% of Basic Pay given in addition to other allowances
- Cash Compensation in lieu of duty performed on Holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.

Age limit for IB ACIO-II: 18 to 27 Years
Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories in accordance with extant Rules/ guidelines of Government of India are as under:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years

IB ACIO-II/Executive Exam Pattern:
The recruitment will be conducted in three stages:
Tier 1: Written Exam(Objective-type)
Tier 2: Descriptive paper (Essay, English and Current Affairs)
Tier 3: Personal Interview
Tier-I Examination:
Tier-I Exam consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online . This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 5 sections as follows:
