Union Public Service Commission officially released the Notification to recruit 74 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) and 156 Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO) in Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) for the year 2025 on 29th July 2025. The posts involves All India Service liability. The candidates willing to serve any where in India will only apply. Online applications will start from 29th July,2025 onwards. The written test is objective in nature has a duration of 2 hours. The exam is conducted for 300 marks and 120 questions. The question papers are separate to the posts Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) and Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO).

Pay Scale:
For EO/AO Salary (Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer): Pay Level: Level 08 -₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100 (In Hand:Rs.80,000/-)
For APFC Salary (Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner): Pay Level: Level 10 -₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (In Hand:Rs.1,00,000/-)
Age Limit (As on 18-08-2025):
Age limit for Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner: 35 Years
Age limit for Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer: 32 Years
Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories in accordance with extant Rules/ guidelines of Government of India are as under:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years

UPSC EPFO APFC/EO Exam Pattern:
The recruitment will be conducted in two stages:
- Written Exam (Objective-type)
- Personal Interview

A pen & paper based Combined Recruitment Test (CRT). The candidates will be selected for the UPSC EPFO Enforcement Officers/APFC Examination on the basis of marks scored in the written exam and interview. The total marks in both written test and interview is counted for final selection. In the interview, general candidates have to score at least 50 marks, OBC candidates have to score a minimum of 45 marks, and SC/ST/PH candidates have to get a minimum of 40 marks.
Syllabus:
The syllabus of the Test broadly comprises the following topics:-
i) General English- To evaluate candidate’s understanding of English language & workman – like use of words.
ii) Indian Culture, Heritage and Freedom Movements.
iii) Developmental Issues and Present Trends in Indian Economy.
iv) Governance and Constitution of India.
v) General Science and Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications.
vi) Elementary Mathematics, Statistics and General Mental Ability.
vii) Industrial Relations, Labour Laws and Social Security in India.
viii) Principles of Accountancy, Auditing and Insurance.
ix) Current Events of National and International Importance.
Weightage:
Weightage of Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) marks and interview marks will be in the ratio of 75:25 for determining the final merit in the instant recruitment cases.

General/EWS Category : 50 and above.
OBC : 45 and above (on relaxed standards)
SC/ST : 40 and above (on relaxed standards)
